How would you feel?
With their faces madeup to show different sorts of reactions, four people posed in a prop to resemble the device where animals are restrained. Tens of thousands were sent to The Body Shop/L'Oreal from all over the world. See it here How would you feel?
Better off dead?
If the animals do not die during testing they are killed anyway. Would they have been better off dead than to suffer the cruelty at the hands of the researchers. See it here Better off dead?
Animal testing

About testing
Animals are locked into restraining devices without any anaesthetic as substances are put into their skin and eyes. Tests involve terrible, long-lasting pain with swelling, discharge, blistering, ulcers and severe burns. Any animal that survives is killed. In toxicity tests animals are force fed substances until a percentage die. The survivors are killed. Long term testing ranges from a few weeks to several years or until they die.
